Burp tank question

I bought this burp tank used from a Superformance owner that was running a 460. Do I have to hook up both ports for this tank to work properly or can I plug one? If I can plug one, which one? If I have to run both does the top one go to the overfill tank and the bottom back to the radiator or is it the other way around. Also what should be the PSI rating on radiator cap. Thanks in advance.

The top one is the overflow. Plumb it either to the ground or to an overflow bottle.
The bottom one goes to the radiator and allows trapped air to get out of the rad and into the burp tank.
Most of us run a 12-14 lb cap. You can go higher (20psi?) if you need more cooling capacity.
