I'd like to have that car too. It is Gordon Gimbel's CSX 2514 1964 289 cobra. One of only 16 Shelby built USRRC cars. Gordon was one of the driving instructors at WSCB. He drove this car and an orange Bonderant mustang at the track day.

Please tell me there was a fence between the track and where those horses were.

Nope no fence. Open range. At one point we were actually on a 5 minute hold so that the track people could take the quad runner out and scare the wild horses away.
