sidepipe rattle help!

Just finished a set of sidepipes and they rattle when letting off the throttle. The mufflers are from stainless specialties. does anyone have a sure way to stop this rattle. I remember reading a post by i think Hall Copple on fixing this problem by cutting a accses pannel into the muffler and welding something in the innercore. Can Hal Copple or someone describe in detail what to do. This Rattle can drive a person mad!

Are they rattling where the slip joints come together? Mine do that and I plan on using some high temp gasket to fix that.

no the rattle is coming from inside the muffle itself

It sure sounds like the baffling's moving inside the housing. My original Lone Star driver's side pipe did that. I drilled two holes on the inside of the pipe (not visible portion) on each end and threaded in a couple honker stainless steel lag bolts. It "grabbed" the assembly, pulling everything tight together and it didn't rattle after that. I couldn't find any access to weld it so that was my best shot.

When I had my Cobra I did the same thing that Undy did. And I never had a problem after that.
