I won't say she loves it but she sure does like it alot and never passes up a chance to go out in it. This is a long way from the "Are you nuts?" I got when I started the build. Her only complaint and my only concession is I have to drive smooooth. Fast and quick is okay but she doesn't have enough neck to keep her head from flopping around so there's no brake jammin', clutch poppin', gear slammin' or wheel yankin'. Works for me and the car is happy too.

Jamo thats a fine woman you got there and I can vouch for her as a great den mother. ;)

My wife does enjoy riding in the car except when the heat gets up over 90. She's made several trips of 100 miles or more with me and only hits me when I jump on the gas without warning her. ;)

My wife said that if I kept spending so much time working on that damned car, she was going back to her mother. ... I hope they are happy together!..

Actually, I haven't had one of those for several years.. THat why I can afford a Cobra.

Send gearhead DNA for wife...soon

OK guys, I have lurked here for a long time and kept quiet. Now I need a favor. What DNA string do all your wives have that makes them love these cars? I too married my high school sweet heart, but she missed out on the car DNA. My son and I are going to London for the weekend to live vicariously among all your beautifil cars (hoping to win the raffle car).:D

Couldn't be luckier!!

I dont know what I did right but having total support in the home front makes life alot easier , even if its just a " hand me a wrench" moment . WD

My wife's first thought was "they (cobras) were really cute." Now she really likes them and is getting to appreciate their 'beastly' good looks. I am not sure if she is really aware of what she is in for , then again I am barely aware of what i'm in for...and I CAN'T WAIT !!

My wife just laughs when she sees my ear to ear grin when I leave for a drive and pull back into the driveway. She still can't get over how loud it is, but enjoys going out for a ride (with earplugs) every now and then.

The only "agreement" is that she gets to park her baby (SLK320) in the garage, so I don't have any room for more toys. Oh well, if you're going to have one toy, this a great one! :D

My Wife helped me build ours  - she assembled the motor and the night before her hysterectomy said "lets put the diff in tonight as I won't be able to lift heavy weights for a few weeks and it will hold up the build

She doesn't drive but loves to go out in it although she does roll her eyes and mutter "Men never grow up" when we're stopped at the traffic lights and I slot the shifter from drive into 1st - she just knows that smoke and thunder is the next move:D

And believe it or not, despite being willing to muck in in the workshop, she's all girl.

My wife loved riding with me.... until.......I got the engine of death
http://www.cobracountry.com/cobra4sa...2a-540x385.jpg
Our first "cruise" together with the new engine included an unannounced "sprited" acceleration that ended up banging the back of her head into the roll bar and leaving quite a bump:CRY:
Well....that was pretty much that.....:(

I've been asked, "Where can I get a wife like yours?" This comes after I tell them what my wife asked after I bought the GT40 or, "What are you going to do with the Cobra?"

My anwer was, "I guess I'll sell it."

Here answer, "You're NOT selling the Cobra!":D

Many of us are lucky enough to have the support, understanding and a shared love of our Cobra at home. The Cobras have allowed me and my wife to meet some great folks and am grateful for that. I have met a few wives that just never got it but the Cobras seem to last longer.
