Cobra Tag and VIN # Help
Two Questions
1. I am going to inspection tomorrow at 1:00 and I think I have everything in order but I have not attached the frame vin # supplied by the manufacture. Do I need to do this before I go and if I do, where do i put it? 2. I'm looking for some some tag ideas. I have a dark grey cobra with slightly lighter stripes. Also I have a #13 ghost meatball on the car. Does anyone have any ideas for a cool cobra tag. |
Your state may attach their own assigned VIN number and put it where they want it. That's what happened to my brothers car when they inspected it.
My Hurricane has the factory assigned chassis number riveted to the frame just above the rear wheel. I'll find out when I go for inspection if they let me use that as the my VIN number or not. IMO, the best place to have your VIN number is on the passengers footbox as per original. However, your state may/may not like it there. Larry |
Where you live seems to determine the VIN issue.
In NJ I found out the hard way that you need to have a vin plate in a publicly visible location. They don't assign VINs...I used my SPF number. |
Ct assign's you one that must go in the engine compartment and be seen.
