Cruise Control for a Cobra

I am waiting for my Superformance to come in next month and was wondering it anyone has put cruise control on one yet. I had a 65 mustang fastback with a hand cruise control. I would think i could do the same thing.

I use the kits from Rostra. They make many other goodies as well.

Don't listen to these guys. Go for it!

You may want to also consider adding air conditioning.

There ain't much room to put your feet anywhere else than on the gas pedal. Best cruise control you will ever find is your right foot.

You can also find some good map lights and cup holders though if need by. :p

You'll love the car. Enjoy it when it arrives. :)

Cruise Control

Hey, if you have the cruise control on, you'll miss some of that wonderful engine music as the rpm's are changing more frquently.

My dad had cruise control on a five speed and boy you knew you had it on if you shifted gears without releasing the cruise control. I've only had it on automatics on my cars.

The "resume" button on the cruise control would be real a kick in the pants!

PHM...just messing with you...lol. Dear god, I actually have electric door poppers on mine so I am sitting here in a glass house throwing 'purist' stones...:D

GO FOR IT...the magic thing about these beasts is YOU do what YOU want with YOUR Cobra...

Be well, be safe!

My CC has helped a lot. Back problems kick in from holding the pedal on long trips. Used an Audiovox sys. from JC Whitney with some trepidation (cheap) but, it has worked flawlessly. Make sure to set the unit to the highest power to weight ratio & Keep the servo away from heat as best you can. I was able to hide the small control unit from the purists in a period correct British ashtray on the console. It connects to the brake light circuit & also has a rev sensor to disconnect when needed. Cheers, Mike

Guys,
I know it sounds a little crazy to have cruise control on a Cobra but my car is not going to be a trailer queen, i will be driving it alot and a good portion of it will be on the highway and i figure it will save me some speeding tickets.

I shouldn't say this but the original post guy need backup!
When I was comming back from the Kirkham Homecoming from Vegas to Barstow I wedged a survey stake I ripped off from a construction site in Vegas. It was 112 degrees I was looking for anything to help and it did --bigtime! Go for the cruse if you can get one to work- I am considering a throttle lock-sort of what the truckers used.

THe Chevette Z 06 comes with cruise control, doesn't it? Oops.. that should be Corvette not Chevette.. I keep getting them confused.
