Oval air filter size preference ?
Which oval size air filter size do you prefer ?
16" x 3" x 9" (if this height is really 3", it's too high for my cobra) or 21-1/4" 2" x 10-1/4 " (I have this size filter now and use Accel Kool Blue and believe the K & N is the same size. The filter height is 2") I have a machinist wanting to make these in billet form. Thanks |
I like the look of the wrinkle black COBRA oval, but the 21-1/4 inch version is too long for my purposes. I have not found a smaller version available. Are you talking about making a 16 x 9 inch version of this air cleaner?

Watch out for that 2 inch air filter, it has been known to restrict the air flow at higher RPM's enough to significantly reduce horsepower.

I also assume that but, on the dyno, it made no difference. I've heard the same thing about the small (6" I believe) twin filters but, have not tried them.
