What has to be grounded ?

Hey guys, how many grounds and where do i need them with a carbed engine. I have basic vintage Autometer guages, electric fan steady going, horn, just the basics. Do i tap or use self taping screws where possible. Some area on the frame are thick like for the neg.battery cable location and stuff like that.I know taping is a longer process so i ask for a general opinion. I want good grounds, thanks all!

I tapped everything. I have a tapping block that holds the tap straight so it did not take to long.
I ran 4 grounds from my engine to the frame. Individual grounds next to the gauges and a ground from my fuel sending unit to the frame. You can never have to many grounds on a fiberglass car.
Hope this helps.

Grounds

Tranny to frame, engine to frame, altenator to frame, regulator to valve cover bolt or frame. And of course the grounds from the wiring harness. Maybe more?

ground wire

I install a #8 awg ground from the battery to a bus bar that I mount under the dash. I ground everything under the hood and dash to this ground bar.
Every time you ground to the frame be sure to grind off the paint and maybe use a conductive grease.
