Wanting to build an EM
I'm seriously looking to build an Everett-Morrison. I visited Julie back in April and she was still in the process of setting up her new shop. I really liked what I saw of what goes into the kit and Julie's enthusiasm. I would like to here from anyone who has built an EM in the past year or so to share their experiences, pros and cons. I live west of Austin, Tx and understand that there are no EM owners in these parts. Any comments, suggestions, etc on what to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't there anyone who would like to share their EM build experence?

E-m
I have not build and E-M but I have worked on several. They are high quality cars. I bought one that was 90% complete and stripped it down and had it repainted. They are one of the nicer kits and I think you will be happy with the Everett-Morrison. We have a lot of their cars in Alabama, several here in my area.

I would suggest you call Fred at this website. I was told his body's were from the original EM molds. I thought his cars were the nicest i saw and wanted to work with him. Unfortunaly it was just a little more than i could spend so i bought a SPF instead and it was fully assembled. But Fred was very nice and builds an awsome car. Let me know how you make out.

Thanks for responding. Since I live in Texas, I wanted a company that was fairly close by. I looked at Lone Star, but I thought the EM would be easier to build, since this is my first build. I visited with Brian at LS last year and at this springs Texas Cobra rally in Round Rock. Very nice guy and a big customer support base.
Was the EM you worked on a GenIV? I'm thinking of installing a 351W from Engine Factory. |
You will find that there are a lot of them scattered around--many were used by somebody who put something other than a Ford in them--Buick Turbo GN, SBC,BBC, LS series engines, Viper V10, Mopar Hemi----
With the Corvette C4 suspension they are probably at the very top of COBRA performance and as such only lacking in "My Ford engined car is more original than your car" |
