Gas price not dropping>
Here in Ct the GAS Retailer ASsoc wants the AG to investigate why the wholesales price is down 50-60 cents a gallon but retail has only dropped 12-15 cents.
Do you think the oil company's might be holding back. lol Any little burp and gas goes up in minutes-oil goes down and its weeks .

It has yet to drop at all here in Hawaii. $4.59 for premium.
$5.35 for diesel. Glad I don't have one of those!

Funny, I drive by a wal-mart on the way to work and it gas prices (murphy's) change dailey with the price of oil. It was at 3.73 yesterday. The only one I have ever seen do it anywhere in the country. Most other stations are 3.89. The prices sky rocket up and parachute down, this is were the gas stations make their money.

just my opion
The BP station near my house is down to $3.77. Mike and I drove to see Jack in Tenn. last Friday and gas was $3.77 - $3.84 range at all the stations on the 100 miles round trip. It has dropped 20 cent last week here in town. The Election is just around the corner and "they" want the masses to forget the $4 plus gas issue.
JMHO:)

I drove up to Missouri last week for a meeting and the price of gas was $3.59 and here in Tulsa it was $3.64. On the way to work this morning I notice some of the Quik Trips were at $3.54. Still not low enough but at least it is going in the right direction.

My wife works at an Albertson's fuel center, and said they are paying 3.58 a gallon for gas but still charging 4.09 a gallon.

That has to be before taxes are added in to their cost. As a former station owner that would be a HUGE margin. When they give the station owners their cost they don't add in local and federal taxes. If she were to look at just the whosale cost it more than likely would not include taxes. Average margins are 6-10 cents before credit card fees.
