Well, I purchased my Ledgendary around 89--I think I got the last one out before they turned out the lights and dodged one law suit after another. I spent hours on the phone. They still own me some parts--headers, bumpers etc, etc. They sure stuck some good people. How stupid I was-I send the $13,000.00 with nothing backing my $$ but their word--what a joke--I had some scary moments. I would still like to get my hands on some of those dogs.
The sales office was in Orlando and the car was actually built in Jay Oaklahoma. 10 years later I had it on the road--sort of a quick build, I wanted to get it done for the the annual parade. I'm on the 3rd engine rebuild--finally got it right--the first guy didn't tighten the mains-- The second mechanic, right, had the oil pump gasket on upside down--no oil to the one side:CRY: The guy who finished the car forgot to check the read end, it was empty--10 miles into the maiden voyage--I was calling the tow truck. Now it's right--7000mi and no problems--:D I really love the car--it's glass is flawless--and thick--no cracks and the doors, hood and trunk fit perfectly. At the Spring Flind, I met another guy who had a Ledgendary. He is please with his and I'm grateful for that. We sort of had a bond, like the FFR and Superformance guys have. Well that's it--But before I go I think but I better check the mains the rear end and all the gaskets! Oh well, Thanks for asking, Mike |

CSX 4027 was the 17th car built. It was delivered via truck to HRE Motorcars Freeport, N.Y. on March 11, 1997. Many original, original parts were used for this car because they still had the parts for the CSX 3000 cars that so few were built due to the $500,000 price tag. The car in comp car format can be seen at major events mixing it up with the best of them. Photo attached for those who didn't see "The Glen" photo.

How old's your Cobra
1984 Southern Roadcraft built in England.
They were sold in the US as an SRV8. My car was an early company demonstrator. I am it's third owner and it is still in excelent condition. I often take it to shows and because it was built with all the 60's vintage gear I often hear coments like "WOW a reral one". It is driven rain hail or shine and I love it. Pics in the gallery. Regards, Bryan |

Our youngest son is college bound so we are empty nesters now and will spend the weekends racking up more smiles. Randy |
ERA EXP 004 built in 1978 or 79, I'm not sure. Maybe Bob Putnam will help out here? That would make it 24 or 25 years old.
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/s...=13375&thumb=1 As you can see, 004 is still going strong! Cheers, Pete C |
I ordered B&B #1986 (I think) in October 1999 and Bryan told me I could pick it up on January 8, 2000. I had it assembled, painted, and on the road by the end of April 2000. I have almost 8000 miles on the car. The first 4000 or so miles was with a small block 302 yielding about 335 hp and now we are running our third 428 CJ. But the first one was improperly represented (built from scavenged parts) and the second was well built but had a short life due to a gasket failure. The new engine has about 800 miles on it now including four race days.
Someday I may try another one and do a couple of things different. Clois |
