Cobras at the NHRA Museum, Pomona 8-6-08
Cobras are the featured "marque" this month at the monthly "Twilight Cruise" at the NHRA Museum at the southeast corner of the Pomona Fairgrounds. This is a 'hang-out' where 300-400 hot-rod cars of all sorts meet up on the first Wednesday of the month, from about 3 PM to 7 PM or so.
FREE Admission to the NHRA Museum is available to show-goers as well. Lynn Park will be there, probably with his magazine-famous "Dirtbag", his unrestored barn-find 289 Cobra; approximately 20 other Cobras show up, some original and some replicas. |
Figures, I just moved out of Pomona a month ago. Lived on McKinley less than a mile from the NHRA museum. The monthly Hot Rod convocation is a great time no matter what shows up and the regulars are a great group of people.

UPDATE: Lynn Park said he will probably bring his #97 289 racing Cobra, CSX 2010, instead of "Dirtbag", the Cobra in the Motor Trend magazine mentioned elsewhere on this Forum.
