Registration in Illinois!
Anyone have any info regarding the registration issues going on in Illinois currently?
|
I heard through the rumor mill that everything was on hold until they revamp the system. They used to use the street rod guys to do the inspections but I think that is all changing.

This is similiar to what i have heard. All i have to say is that this is ridiculous. From what i've heard this is all because of a state trooper not agreeing with a cobra titled as a 1965. How can a state trooper have any effect on what the title of a car is? On top of that it appears as though the illinois website states clearly the procedure and what not for registering these cars.
With a brand new now finished superformance in my garage and now i'm having to figure out a way to get it registered! |
Anybody have any more details on this issue? I'm about 4 weeks or so away from point of needing to get all nice and legal with the state of IL and this news just about made me lose it.
I just got off the phone with one of the hot rod guys that does the inspection for the northern half of the state and he said he hasn't heard about any changes. Thanks, Ed |
