Brake lights on top or bottom

Putting my car back together after the paint job - I didn't mark which light goes on top of the tail lights. Is the brake light or the directional on top? The lights are the two separate round ones.

Mine is a CR LTD but I also have the double lights in the rear. The top lights are amber in color and are the turn signals. The bottom ones are red and are the tail/stop lights.

I have an RUCC kit, I could have done it either way but I decided to have the red tail/stop lights on the top & the amber turn signals on the bottom.

I've probably seen more Cobra's set up like Terry's than mine, but I gotta be different!:)

I have 4 red lites, 2 per side and all of them do all functions. Just my choice.

I like that idea. All four of mine are red also.
