Relocation to Connecticut
I will be relocating to the family CT and working in the Rye Brook/White Plains area. I was looking for some advice on where to house hunt. I was looking at the Danbury and Norwalk areas. I am definetly not familiar with the area at all, I'm just going off what I can find on some of the realty websites.
The unfortunate thing is that I doubt if I will be able to find a three car garage, much less a 2 car garage for the price range we would like to stay in. The cost of living is just a tad higher than Ohio:) So the Cobra will more than likely stay in OH. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just a tad? That's one big tad! Look for any bank foreclosures. The banks hate to hang on to properties that have been foreclosed. Also look for properties that have been on the market for very long times. Sometimes a low-ball figure will be accepted.
Good Luck.

That whole section of CT (Fairfield County) is very expensive. Some of the more valuable property in the US.
You would need to travel as far north to Danbury or East to Trumbull, Milford before you start to get a bigger bang for your buck. The traffic in and out of NY is quite heavy, Metro North might be an option for commuting.
