Cobra Golf
Will a set of golf clubs fit in the trunk of a Superformance MKIII?
|
Yes, if you snap them in half.

Only if they are Cobra brand clubs !!!!...mine won't fit so I strap them in the passenger seat on the way to the course...when I show up with the Cobra some of the guys want to know what kind of golf cart it is.

My daughters Snoopy clubs fit fine but I have to put mine in the passenger seat. The Cobra is not the greatest car to drive to the course. Lots of looks but half of them are not happy.

The SPF has a rather big trunk. Whether or not a set of golf clubs fit in the trunk is really dependent upon the size of the golf bag, and how much crap you already have in the trunk.

Watch out where you park your car at the golf course! Incoming!
Think the passenger seat is your only option. Second thought, why not just take the daily driver. :)

I have an ERA rather than a Superformance but I've discovered my clubs will fit if I 1) take the clubs out of the bag, 2) put the bag in the trunk and then 3) put the clubs in the trunk. It's kind of a hastle but will work if you really want to take the Cobra to the course.

Tried putting my golf bag in my trunk this afternoon. No way. I could put all of the clubs in the trunk, but not the bag. If you had one of the old small cloth bags with no side pockets, it would fit. But today's style bag will not fit in an SPF trunk.

Take the long ones out first!
I take my woods out of the bag and pack them separately and they fit easily in my SPF trunk. Depends what size bag you have. Mine is an 8" stand bag.

I don't walk when I play (no cupholders for my beer) so a carry / stand bag is out of the question. Tried getting my Ping cartbag in the trunk once (without the woods) and it wouldn't fit. Have to take the daily driver to the course with me, but at least I don't have to worry about golf balls hitting the Cobra in the parking lot (or the a-holes that have their bag over their shoulder walking between cars!).
-A golf course is no place for a Cobra anyway. JMHO.
