Hazard warning wiring

Does anyone have a simple wiring diagram showing how the hazard warning switch is wired. For some reason they only work when I select left or right signals to on??? I'm confused.

Cheers,

Ian

Ian,

What kind of car and column do you have. Some are different. My 69 Cobra has an extra flasher unit that is just for the hazard signals. My replica had wiring to a different switch on the column.

Hi Ron,

It's a 92 Python Autocraft. I am not sure where the column is from but it is fairly basic. I have a separate flasher for the signals. It was all working fine up until today. I just need to know the basic wiring diagram so I can trace where the problem is.

Cheers,

Ian

It sounds like you don't have power to the flasher in the 4-way circuit.

Thanks for the replies. Strictlyperson hit the nail on the head. No power to the hazard switch. The terminal from the ignition switch to the fuse box had worked it's way loose.
