Larry,
Very nice and the hood modifications blend in very well. Should be a great engine to drive and have fun with. ron |
is that the same car that had the sullivan intake on it ?
I'm asking since I have the same set up on my 4.6 the mods you did to fit the KB in are quite creative nice clean look Bobby |
The sullivan intake was a good piece, but just didn't like the performance of the carb combination. The supercharger on the same engine brought it to life. This is a different car same color.
|
Thanks Ron, the hood came out nice. And the twin screw supercharger was awesome right off the throttle, but really came to life at 6800 rpm. So tight it made your ears hurt.

could you tell us some more about the specs of the engine
it looks like you modified the water cross over and the altanator placement What did you use to drive the efi? What did'nt you like about the carb set up the only gripe I have is the powerband does not come on till almost 4500 rpm then it pulls like an animal to 7K but that is the nature of the short runner intake |

Kenne Bell and WMS were both very helpful with any questions I had. Pulley relocation and crossover tubes are all stock. I made no modifications other than the hood scoop. The car was a sleeper, idled smooth and quiet. But step on the throttle and hang on. instant response! Did remove a/c and power steering. Had to change belt length and routing |
the set up looks great If I had known about jbl's before I bought the hurricane I would have put on my short list the chasis design is awsome and I like that you have # to match your claims about chasis stiffness.
may I ask what did the add-ons cost you? is that RW HP #'s did you have the engine dynoed? I would love to see the charts Bobby |
are those HP numbers rear wheel?
|
Engine numbers from Kenne Bell, didn't have time to dyno vehicle before delivery.
