Windshield mounted rear view mirrow

Experts,

If an SPF (or any Cobra, I suppose) has one of those rear view mirrors with the rod that goes from the cowl to the top of the windshield...can it be removed and put the standard one on or will there be holes from the previous mounting?

Thanks

Try posting this on the superformance clubcobra forum - I'll think you'll get a quicker response -- regards, Mike

Many of the windshield rods use a fastened angle piece at the cowl-windshield base meeting point...and then attach the top of the rod with a no-holes clip.

If you remove the rod assembly, you can still use the angle piece on the cowl, which was like what was on original bodies, to avoid revealing holes.
