I would suggest dealing with a representative or manufacturer located in Europe. There are quite a few.
Check out my manufacturer's list on another thread. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/suggestions/69551-list-manufacturers.html |

I've exported countless cars over the last 15 years (five cobras to date), if you are looking for a shipping company with export experience, then check out the following url:
http://www.autocarshippers.com/ As for what company or kit to buy, that all depends on your budget and exactly what you are looking for. In regards to Spain, make sure that whatever car you buy has the proper compression ratio in the engine for the fuel available as your country does not offer a high octane fuel (at least not to the general public) that some of the high compression motors need to run properly. Hope you find this helpful. Sincerely, Bill S. |
thanks mr mustang thats good to know how much you charge to ship one

Now for sure is a good time for exporting cars over to Europe in deed! You need to check into the requirements of registration and getting it into the country too. I had a fella in France once inquiring about mine and he had to have a Cobra WITH a title stating a 1965, not 1997 when it was made. This was no problem (as I had all of his requirements) but there was a middle man trying to make too much on it and the deal fell through. Like others have said: what to look for depends HEAVILY on what you can afford and the different styles (289 FIA, slapside, 427 SC, etc.). I would figure out a realistic budget, get a quote for shipping, find a car with any registration requirements needed, and THEN still put some more money aside for changes you may want to make. These cars are typically very personal and they come with options you may not care for. Good luck, Matt.
