Looking to change from 4 lug to 5 lug and add disc brakes to the rear. I just got a FFR with a 5.0 motor and a 4 speed. I have seen ads for some conversion kits (specifically SSBC) and wondered if anyone has any experience with this conversion. I would like to run 15 inch wheels. Also, can anyone help me out with how to tell if I have 28 or 31 spline axles without having to take the axle out? Long time street rodder but new to the Cobra scene. Hoping to join some bay area cobra people on some breakfast outings and other runs. Thanks, John in Sunnyvale, Ca

Welcom John!
There's an active South Bay group of Cobra owners that meets on regular basis. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/bay-area-cobra-club/ You might want to also post your question in the FF thread. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/factory-five-racing/ Herman (289fia_cobra on CC) built a FF and he lives in Sunnyvale as well. |
I'm pretty darn sure you will have 28 spline axles in there. Call Mike at Forte's parts and he can get you the whole setup for conversion.
