Keeping It Cool

I'm at the point where I,m ready to put the body on. I would like to know what type of heat shields work best. I thought I would cover both interior and exterior sides of the trans tunnel and foot boxes. And do the self adhesive type hold up on the underside of the body.

thanks Robert

I wouldnt think that putting it on the inside wouldnt do much good.....Most of the deflection would be done out side...Maybe a double layer on the outside w/ maybe a 1/4 in. gap between for air circ..????????just a thought . I would not use tape to mount!!!!!

The aluminum bubble insulation works great, just put in under the carpet and inside firewall. I would keep the underside clean as possible..imo.

I used ThermoTech on mine and it helped a lot. Easy to work with and you can glue it on or use rivets. I believe what I used was rated to withstand 2,000 degrees. I covered the firewall, all brake lines, and also the underside of the transmission tunnel.
