Hi.
I think I can help with the dilemma of SPF # 355. It was shipped from HiTech in SA to House of Cobras in CA on June 3, 1998. Considering shipping time, floor time and install time, first registration could have occurred in 1999. Incidentally, it was (is) Royal Blue /White.

Car # 1355 (Titanium/Indigio Blue) was shipped to Dynamic Ohio on March 28, 2002.

I am the former CEO of SPF Intnl Inc and I retired after we sold the business to Lance . I returned to South Africa, and live on the coast just 30 minutes or so away from HiTech.

If there are any questions about cars during the period up to mid 2005 I will be only too happy to assist (if I can). I browse Clubcobra every day, but have only now reregistered in order to help Cobrarob confirm # 355's production/shipping details.
Regards
Ron

That McD00 guy does it to me. I even have him on my blocked senders list, but his emails still come through somehow. Describing how he enjoys his corvette, or how he takes his dog for a walk.

Don't they have man eating bull trout?

Yep....your car was built well before 99. My car (569) was ordered in July of 99 and I took delivery on Sept 18, 1999. Ronnie Kruger (Ronwin) is surely right on the money...he always is.

As for upgrading the glove box....it requires a complete change out of the dash which is both expensive and a PITA. I cannot imagine it being worth the money. Mine has the old dash. I must admit that I have often wished I had a glove box but have never needed one. It is just a convenience that many of us have learned to live without.

Exactly. What doesn't fit neatly in the door pockets goes in the tool bag in the trunk.

Ronnie, thank you so much for the e-mails and the build history/timeline on #747. You validated everything that I had assumed and I appreciate your efforts!

I use one of those black leather travel bags. small enought to put behind the passenger seat.

I am pleased I could help to establish the facts.
Take care
Ron
