Help! Anybody Purchase From Dynamic In Reno?

I am getting ready to purchase from Dynamic in Reno and am trying to get a little feedback on the company. They seem to be very knowledgable. Their engine/tranny installer also seems to know what he is talking about and has been helpful sorting things out. Any comments would be helpful before I pull the trigger on the purchase. Please PM me if you need to.

Thanks

Bought mine from them in 2000 and they're still around!! Says something I think.
Dynamic has changed hands a couple times I think but they still have the same fine products (SPF) and are a member of the Superformance family.

Their main office is in Ohio and the SPF headquarters is located at Hillbank Motorsports in the LA area.

Good luck and happy motoring!! Order now and I think you can have it in about four months. Get your engine and tranny in and you can make our track days in
Reno-Fernley, NV in May 2009 (was part of WSCB in 2008).

Enjoy the car and drive safe :D:D:D

Give Wayne Montgomery at Gear 6 Performance in Meridian Idaho a call. 208-887-9747 He is also a Superperformance/Roush dealer and can provide you with some of his customers experience with Dynamic.

Night Enforcer,

The Reno operation is now called Dynamic Autowest. I bought mine from Dynamic in Reno when they were part of Dynamic Motorsports of Ohio. I've met the new owner, but don't know any of the people that run the place. Stephen at Full Throttle (formerly Reno Engine & Drivetrain) did my install and is great to work with. He's done a ton of installs and knows what he's doing.

Where are you located?

I haven't purchased anything from them, but I met the new owner at the Palo Alto Concours last June. I think his name was Dennis Peck. He seemed like a very nice gentleman and we spoke for about 1/2 hour as he showed me around the SPF GT40 they had there at the show. I'm now on their mailing list and the last email from them said that they will be opening a new location in Redwood City, CA, which makes it seem like they're having some success. I think you'll be fine, if you have a good solid sales contract with them. Good luck.

I'd say this, Dynamic did me right (Bob and John were great, not sure if they are still there) and Stephen Bramlitt (sp) has the knowledge and experience to get the job done right. When my car had issues (faulty part from superformance), he made no excuses for why or who was to blame, he just fixed it. He is also the first to volunteer his info after the sale...way after the sale. It's no joke, if I call him, three years after the sale or email him, he will help me in anyway possible. Nuff said.

I would highly reccomend using Stepehen at Full Throttle, I had a warranty issue with Roush and brake issues with SPF. He went beyond what he had to do with both. If you call or email him, he answers! My engine and tranny install were perfect. I did not deal with the new owners at dynamic, I bought mine in Reno before Dale Peck became the owner. I hope I don't have another warranty issue, my experience is, Mr. Peck won't acknowledge your warranty unless he sold it to you. My two cents! get one ordered!

I'll second that...

I got caught in the neverland between the two owners and Ian, the previous owner of Dynamic , didn't give a damn about me or the car. I eventually got a MSO but I actually had to forge the mileage statement and the bills of sale in order to get the car licenced. But that has nothing to do with the current owner, Dennis Peck. A friend of mine bought a SPF from them, a demo, and has had no problems. Stephen did the install on my car and he is very knowlegable and helpful and I have had very few problems....and he has a great dog named Lucy who is a hoot !!!

Yes

For what it's worth... I can't imagine that any of these SPF dealers would not bend over backwards right now to work with you on getting a car and helping to arrange to get it set up right.

As mentioned, there have been a few generations of owners there since and Stephen doing installs, he does nice work. They attended the Western States Cobra Bash every year as a registered vendor and have a lot of customers over the years. The product pretty much sells itself but the selection and install and final tune/setup is the part i would be more focused on.

For whatever reason you don't do their standard Rousch motor setup and/or if they are backed up on installs on Stephens end, and/if you need a 2nd opinion or another source on the install... my buddy Gary at GT Autosport was a certified installer for the prior owners at Reno, and has done SPF Cobras and Noble builds and installs. He's done various motor installs with Rousch, Smedding, Coast performance motors in them. Send me a PM if you need a referral into Gary.
