Who has registered a cobra in Ma? what a pain!
They want me to assemble the car and tow it to an inspector. This is the process to get a VIN. Has anyone else done this?

As far as I know you cant get a VIN with an unassembled car. The completed car requires inspection.Process is very easy once you have all the information. I had my Backdraft done 1 1/2 years ago and have helped several other members do the same.
If you want call me and I can get you all required information. Peter |
In CA, we have to take our finished cars to the CHP, BAR and although it's hit and miss with our DMV, to an official Brake & Light inspection. When you buy these cars, you have to expect some headaches and heartaches.

My B&L inspection when like this:
Tech: Are your headlights aimed ok? RR: Yes. Tech: Check. Show me your brake lights and turn signals. RR: ok. Tech: Check. Are your brakes new? RR: Yup! Tech: Check. That'll be $90 please. Pay at the window. RR: Thank you, drive thru! |
Titling and registering in MA takes a little effort but you will be successful if you follow the rules.
