We are gathering historical information for a "Hurricane Motorsports" owners group. The body molds originated with Component Craft cars produced in Dallas, TX.

Component Craft was a very good kit. The cars are very accurate to history. The vehicle itself, of course, is subject to the skills and parts the builder used, but the basic kit is an excellent one. You might look around the HM-Cobra forum. More information there. There is also a beginning registry on the Component Craft cars. Can you tell us where you're located. I'm in the process of buying the car so I don't have any specs on the car other than the serial #CC94R4274911R0156.A 1966 Component Craft built in 1994. I know it needs new side pipes. Since component craft is out of business do you know if another manufactures side pipes will bolt up to the 427 collector. Thanks, Charlie ps. I also need a complete windshield wiper assembly. |

If the deal goes thru, come to the HM-Cobra.org site and register as an owner. Lots of info there. A pretty good community The side pipes could be slip style, like supplied by Shell Valley, or a bolt-together flange. These were made by a local supplier in Dallas, who also is out of business. You are probably looking at a custom set. The current kit is now manufactured by Hurricane Motorsports. If you aren't in a big hurry, you'll be able to get a complete set from them. They should be in full production the beginning of the year. The wipers are the typical replica kit wipers. Available from ERA, Shell Valley, eBay, etc. Paul |
