Thanks Ron,
I didn't think my numbers were too far off.
I'm a Grand -Am man myself, family business, kssmotorsports.com., but to quote David Hobbs "it takes some big attachments" to drive a paper thin body shell at 200mph. I respect those "daring young men in their flying machines". :) even the ones that smell nice with body wash :)

Like Juan Pablo sez, it's not easy to drive these big heavy cars with no power and no brakes and skinny tires.... I am a stock car racing fan going back to the days on the beach and the local tracks...to the Fabulous Hutson Hornets, the Chrysler 300's, Fast Freddy, Fireball etc.... etc....but to me, NASCAR is not stock car racing. I really don't know what the hell it is. With all the cautions and the lucky dogs and the spec cars, and top 35's and Chase .. it seems (to me) it is a phony staged "entertainment " . I think it is boring except for maybe the last 25 laps. Now, where do you get that body wash stuff ???

Well said. I have been saying for some time that NASCAR is motor racing's answer to the WWE and fits right into the interesting catagory of "Sports Entertainment". :p:LOL::rolleyes::3DSMILE:

With DW and the King trying to get the taxpayers to build a track for them in the Seattle Area. They were rudely treated, really laughted out of town. Seattle is yuppy land, home of Microsoft and Starbucks ect... the legislators said that there were not enough rednecks to support a track and they even implied that they were not interested in having them "invading" the Emerald City with their cigarettes and tavern jackets !!! I'm not kidding, I doubt they even knew who DW was. Nascar should have sent local boy Kasey Kane body wash and all, at least they might have been nice to him. The real problem, for NASCAR this year might be that Penske and Hendrick are car dealers and they might be in worse shape than the Big Three. And I believe Roush is also very dependent on their business.. It will be interesting...:JEKYLHYDE

For those suffering in not having Speed's coverage of NASCAR ( smile )
" Speed channel has announced plans to kick off its 2009 NASCAR coverage with the first episode of “NASCAR 39/10: Reviewing the 60th Season” on Jan. 7. "

I am amazed how these "talking heads" can go on, and on, and on, for hours and hours talking about NASCAR each and every week all season long. It is enough to turn off the most loyal fans.%/:(
