Collector Car Insurance

Any preference Hagerty, American Collectors Ins, or Grundy? I live in NJ and got quotes from all 3 for $70,000 agreed coverage.

Hagerty $1328

American Collectors $1023

Grundy $1017

Midwest Classic has treated me better, (pricing and customer service) than any company I've dealt with. Robbin (Midwest) is the bomb..

I switched years ago from American Collector to Grundy. Grundy has no mileage restrictions, has agreed value and a competitive premium.

Ditto on Robbin here.

Danr55 01-03-2009 12:47 PM

I carry State Farm with agreed upon value at $100K for about $556/year. No mileage restrictions. Only have to have a daily driver. No other restrictions.

chas427fe 01-03-2009 02:23 PM

I have Infinity. $444 per year. 3000 mile limit and $37K value.

Silverback51 01-03-2009 02:46 PM

I'm currently with Midwest, but I do not like mileage limits.

I may have to look into Grundy.

Snakebit 01-06-2009 10:46 AM

I just insured it with Condon & Skelly for $413/yr for $70,000 agreed coverage! They are located in Maple Shade, NJ an hour away. Thanks for the replys.

I'm in NJ and am insured with American Collectors http://www.americancollectors.com/

I have a 35k agreed value. Also, I've got QQ plates.

I have Infinity Insurance through Northwest Classic Insurance.

The mileage limits seem to vary from State to State. My standard policy offers unlimited mileage in California.

Robbin at Midwest for me too - the best IMHO.
Agreed value - no hassle whatsoever.
I got the mileage upgrade to 7K a year.
For a few extra buck you can get an upgrade to drive to work from time to time.

I really appreciate you guys giving me your vote of confidence on insurance coverage. We really like working with Cobra Owners and am actually talking with Company Vice President as I type this. You will be seeing our ad on this site soon. Give us a shot at helping you, remember insurance coverage is only as good as the agent's knowledge and we feel we do what is in your best interest when it comes to insuring these vehicles.

Have a great Cobra driving day.

Thanks,

Robbin Terry
