T5 Question

I have a 1984 T5 in the Cobra & I'm getting ready to change the driven gear. I installed the present gear/cable during my build when there was no fluid in the tranny.

Will I lose any fluid when I pull the cable/gear from the tailshaft? I'm thinking that I won't or maybe just a small amount.%/

Just want to confirm my own thoughts.

Thanks.

If you are talking about changing the speedometer gear on the transmission, there should not be any fluid coming out of that hole when you remove the cable-gear.
