Fuel drip from threaded line - how to seal properly?

Okay, it's 9:20 pm, I've had a long day at work and I just spent the last 45 minutes in gas fumes as I drained my fuel tank...

...so if these are stupid questions...

Properly prefaced, here's my situation and question. I noticed a very slow drip coming from the outlet of my fuel tank. I thought it was the clamp on the rubber hose, but that's tight, and the fuel appears to be getting through the threads. Fuel tank is aluminum, fitting is brass.

Now, the question: how do I properly seal these threads? Do I use Teflon tape, or would the gasoline eat away at that? Can anyone recommend a sealer?

This leak is really slow, but I've picked up on a light gasoline smell in my garage around the Cobra. No leaking fuel is good.

Suggestions?

If it is a tapered thread, teflon tape should do it.

Yes teflon tape, for the threads. I have run into issue before with compression flares on fuel lines. If that is the case, then the proper flare tool is what is needed.

I have use the Teflon tape on fuel connections with no problems. Except once when I wound it backwards and that caused it to try and wad up. I have also sealed an oil leak and gas leak with the Right Stuff. It seems almost impervious to anything.

Teflon tape it is.

Driving to work this am, I realized I had used Teflon tape on the fuel pump connections...

Must have been the fumes...
