FINALLY, my Cobra hits the road!
So after 'only'7 years I finally got my Cobra titled and registered yesterday.
I bought the car in the UK back in 2002 and moved it to Ireland where some assembly took place. I then moved to the US and the poor thing sat in a barn in Tipperary for 5 years. It made the trip to Florida last summer and I have spent the last few months finishing it. The gals at the Vehicle Licensing Office were angels and I now have my Gardner Douglas on the road. The five years spent in Ireland have taken their toll and I will be removing the body this coming summer to get the frame powder coated again but the focus now is to put some miles on it. You might say I am somewhat happy! Paul |
Paul, I hope you are planning on attending the 24 Heures De La Floride

Where are the pictures? Dont worry to much about the paint, dirve it and enjoy it while you can.

Thanks a million for the link Dan.
I plan to spend a little time this weekend putting on a few local miles and ironing any kinks out. If it looks like being reliable enough I will certainly look to take part. Paul |
mpanten, I will pop the car outside in a little while once my work day has finished and take a couple of shots. I work from home so get to play with the Cobra from late morning onward.
