Parts Scammer - Be very careful!!!!!!!!!
Fellow Cobrafiles:
I have been in contact with a parts supplier, or claimed to be, in UK. The guys name is Terry Cooper. Terry Cooper’s claimed address/contact: 5 Albion Place Leeds LS1 6JL, United Kingdom +447035974913 He will promise parts and have a US reference for you to contact. THIS IS A SCAM! He will sell parts at resonable pricing then ask for payment. He will then claim issues with customs and ask for more $. Well I only fell for the initial scam and did not send additional funds. I do have a contact in the UK and that is when the jig was up! SCAM, so be cautious. Basically he contacted me through a request for a Lucas #104 dash mirror via the SAAC website. Scam Scam Scam :eek: My advice, deal USA and be very careful sending MO etc as you are getting taken. Just wanted you guys to be aware so he gets nothing else. Caution when buying..... He has a US Reference as well so don't be fooled. In the mean time I am still looking for Lucas #104 mirror! :) |

I am told by a friend in UK that he called the # and found the gentlemen had a South African type accent. No surprise there....dialect is something the English take serious. Guess it is 2 credits towards the School for Life Long Learning.....:rolleyes: |

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. We tend to trust each other in this little Cobra world we inhabit, and 99% of the time our trust is justified. Every once in a while one of these scumbags slithers in through a crack, and we do something based on trust that we would never do in the "outside" world. 767Jockey Soon as you are back to 100% you are flying a nice bunch of the guys over for a week end visit. Sure we can borrow a plane for this little trip. No guns allowed. Just Baseball bats, like the ones used for fishing, after all this is a fishing party looking for a stinken piece of whale crap.:eek::rolleyes: I love my fellow brother an would not kick him when he is down but trying to scam me, the punishment fits the crime. In some country's if you are caught stealing or this kind of scam, they cut off your hand.:eek:%/ We are only talking about a couple of lumps and a broken jaw for thief and lieing.
