ERA 2122 on the road
Finally got the first ride in the new 289 yesterday. It was great. Thanks to Peter and the ERA crew for all their work. It is just what we wanted. A couple of shots at the site below.

Joy,
Beautiful job on your ERA. I like the clean 'street' look, it really shows off the lines of the car. The bolt on wheels add a nice touch, keep those pictures coming ! :) - Tim |

Looks really slick - like the dual exhaust tips in the rear - very clean, really nice looking car. Also like the Torque Thrust wheels. Enjoy the heck out of it.

Nice!! I hadn't seen their FIA done street. WOW!!! Are you in CT? We have a few folks who get together who really drive thier cars.

ERA FIA and suggestion wanted
We have a 302 and a Tremac 5 speed. ERA was great to deal with, we were there weekly since we do live in CT, but we brought homemade cookies to help move things along:). One problem - In order to reach the clutch, I am uncomforably close to the steering wheel. Any suggestions for extensions? Everything I have seen on line looked too big for the space involved. We're up for Sunday (or mid week) drives once the weather warms up and the sand is removed from the roads.

Mmmmm. Cookies! :3DSMILE:
Have you brought the clutch pedal as far back as possible? If you run out of adjustment on the threaded rod, you can rotate the arm on the shaft spline. |
I had to move the arm on the shaft as bob says, then Doug made up a clutch stop that I mounted to the footbox to stop the clutch from being depressed to far.
I have the clutch and brake pedals as far forward as they can go with the existing slots in the floor. I was told if I needed to move the pedals farther forward I would have to modify the floor a bit more. There are movement restrictions as to how far you can push the clutch in, which is why Doug built the pedal stop. I believe he said it was 1.2" max. As for the brake, after moving the adjusters, there is a diagram in the manual with the correct distance for the bias bar. m-a |
Beautiful Cobra!

Great car guys! Gotta love the street. I'm in CT as well and would love to hook up for a ride. I have an ERA 427 Street. My car is the one against the wall in one of your pics. Good luck with it. Every time I drive this car I love it more and more. It's a beast.
