This film was prepared by a client and shown at RM Auctions' 2008 Sports & Classics of Monterey immediately before the sale of the 289 Cobra featured. Today, most remaining Cobras have undergone extensive restoration, but this example (CSX 2485) was discovered, as dramatized in the clip, in remarkably original condition. Bidders responded to this example's striking originality and provenance, and vied to own a piece of Carroll Shelby's automotive legacy. The hammer fell on a winning bid of $605,000 for this well preserved American icon.

Entertaining, until she opened up her mouth and sounded like every other uninformed idiot I meet at the gas station. You'd think they'd have at least hired CW as a consultant and got some of the facts right. ;)

Yeah, I wonder who the blonde is. She's pretty cute. But not a very good actress. Not a very natural delivery.

excellent video, said she was included.

As we say in the Old Country - "Nice car, shame about the blonde" ( and the 'script'. It just stopped short of saying that Ol' Carroll carried the car on his back as he crossed the line at that there Lee Mans)

Oh well, time for a cup of tea......
