I am going to try and watch it. I going to tape it anyway. Did anyone tape episode #1? If you did is there any way that I can get a copy of it?
 Thanks, Terry

 Terry,
I think I can burn you copy of the first episode. I live in what Comcast must consider the "boondocks", so we don't have SPEED in HD yet. Shoot me an IM with your mailing info and I'll send it to you.

I saw the first two episodes. For some reason, my program guide shows another episode on 3/28, but it doesn't indicate that it's part 3.

The company that they featured is called Pacific Roadster. Appears to be a homegrown FF type car. They do everything in-house, including the paint. The guy that dismantled the Mustang donor car was a character.

Absolutley the worst show I've ever seen. I wouldn't let those idiots build a dog house. They don't do the hobby any justice.

I watched the episode on Speed CH last Sat. I was amused at first. Then bewildered. The part that was pathetic was when he took the 5.0L donor motor and pressure washed off the umpteen thousand miles and years of oil and dirt off while it was hanging from the engine crane moments before bolting it into place. It gets better. The guy called Red-Neck Charlie took out a can of spray paint and was seen painting the front end of the engine without any masking while is was still haging from the crane! After this I could only shake my head.

In that case I won't feel so bad at missing it. 4:30 is a little early and we don't have SPEED at work.

 | It's pretty much like most of the reality "train wreck" fare that's on TV. I thought it was entertaining....but I'm not buying a car from them so I could care less.

kitcarbp has it right! the build quality is third world and I apologize to third world countries. After spray bombing they put on Black krinkle Cobra valve covers with dirty old bolts, lol. I was really astonished by what I was witnessing. I was expecting to see something exciting and am extremely disappointed.I never knew Pacific roadsters existed now I know why. Ewwwwww.the car is junk compared to what i've seen out there.

 | Terry,

I thought I could burn a copy for you, but it's not working. I've got two Tivo's and one has a DVD burner. It usually works when I transfer shows back and forth, but not this time.

Doug,Thanks anyway for trying. I could not get my recorder to work this morning either, at least not correctly. It would record it but it was scrambled. I just got done watching episode 2 and I agree, what a joke.

The old rusty bolts on the new valve covers made me laugh and get irritated at the same time. Then they changed the clutch without resurfacing or replacing the flywheel.

That show does not do the hobby any good. It makes people think that kits are just thrown together.

On the bright side though, other than the doner crap the actual Pacific Roadster built parts look ok. I think they need to do a series on a non-doner kit build. That would be interesting.
