how many ways can you think of?

There is another thread going on about an engine only reaching a temp of 140 driving down the road. I can think of 10 different things to cause this. How many ways or causes can you come up with?

My first reason is = engine does not have a t-stat installed, 9 more I can think of.

It's 140 degrees in Arizona and the engine isn't running?

I see you have been here in the summer! I'll be back after I clean the coffee off my screen, think some is coming out my nose too!! Any ideas on possible cause ... like new heater install has hose returning to the radiator?

Being from AZ. for many years now I did not think about it being only 30* outside.
