There is always the Peterson Museum in LA or the Drag Race museum at Pamona Fairgrounds.

Cars & Guitars
I live in Sacramento and my two sons live in Los Angeles area. One in Santa Monica the other in Westchester area.
Remembering that LA is very large and that getting to Point A to Point B is not so much measured in distance but by usual time it takes you to get there, here are my thoughts: 1. Peterson Automotive Museum (off of Wilshire Blvd, near Rodeo Drive). 2. Cars & Coffee (Irvine, early Saturday mornings, south of LA proper down the 405) 3. Any number of dealers, Morgan off of Pico Blvd in Santa Monica. Chequered Flag off of Lincoln in Marina del Ray. If you are into guitars too, can give you some thoughts there as well. Enjoy the trip. If you'll be here May 31st, on the LAST Sunday of every month there is a 100-plus car gathering with probably 10 to 12 Cobra replicas, an original or two Cobras, and lots of new Ferraris, Lambos, Vettes, Porsches, and an eclectic assortment of other cars. It runs from 6:30 AM to about 11 AM. It's in Calabasas - just south of the 101 from the Valley Circle exit, can't miss it on the left.
The same get-together attracts a lesser number of cars every sunday, but the LAST Sunday of the month is the BIG turnout. |
Car chase, Drive by shootings...:LOL:J/K

Definitely Cars and Coffee in Irvine (Saturdays from 7-9) and SuperCar Sunday in Calabassas on Sundays from 8-10. Here's a good link to a website with most of the events in SoCal: http://www.socalcarculture.com/cruise_nights.html
Enjoy! Doug |

there's always Bob's Big Boy on Friday nights in Burbank. There's also the Saturday morning get-togethers at AutoBooks in Burbank.
the aforementioned SuperCar Sunday (last sunday of the month) at Village Coffee Roasters is pretty cool as well. |
If you like Pre-war cars, the biggest, free collection is the Nethercutt in Sylmar.
I personally am a fan of taking friends to some of the big name shops to see cars being worked on. NHRA museum in Pomona. |
