Kamo Kids Cylinder Head Auction by Keith Craft

Mike Bernica has ask me to auction the heads and parts that he won in the Kamo Kid's raffle. This is a very giving thought on his and his families part. I hope that I can do something for him in the future.
Mike wanted me to have the auction on Club Cobra since all of the members supported this effort for me. I will relist what we have for auction. There are two different packages we will have up for auction.

FE package contains: Keith Craft Stage 2 Edelbrock CNC FE heads complete for solid flat tappet or hydraulic roller camshaft along with head gaskets, intake gaskets, ARP head bolts and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake donated by Pop's Performance.

Small Block Ford head package: Keith Craft Brodix Signature Series 17 degree SBF heads in either a 195 or 210 cc package, head gaskets, intake gaskets, ARP head bolts, Edebrock Performer RPM or Victor JR intake along with a set of Comp Cams Magnum roller rockers donated by Pop's Performance.

Both of these packages sell for near 3000.00 from us at our normal good prices. Remember you are getting some great parts for your engine but also helping a lot of kids that need it.

If Brent thinks it is ok we can use the thread as a place to make your bid. We just will not be able to re-bid for you and I guess the bidders will just have to check in and re-bid. If there is any problem with this just let me know how we should do it.

Once again thanks for your help in this great cause that is special to me.

Keith, Go for it. I would have redonated (regift:LOL:) the offer. If we keep it up maybe we can raise some real money for a fine cause. I still wonder about the young man who lived through it and hope he is getting some professional help. If he had issues before the tragedy he will really have issues now.

Let the bidding begin

I guess it is OK to bid here?

If so, I'll start with $1,000.

Keith, how long will you run the auction?

How do these heads flow compared to say, Vic. Jr. heads, on a small block- 393 stroker, Comp Cams 294 XE cam, 596/600 lift?

Guess I'll bid just to keep things moving- $1,100

Bob

The small block heads that we have for the auction flow about 20 cfms better on the intake and the exhaust than the Edelbrock Victor Jr heads. We make about 540 HP with these heads on our 408 engines with a hydraulic roller and a edelbrock dual plane intake. They work real well from 1200 to 6000 rpms. Thanks, Keith

I figure that we need to run the auction at least for 4 weeks so that we get the word out. I have an amount that I feel will be a great deal on the complete packages and I hope that we can get there. Thanks, Keith

Bernica 05-10-2009 08:10 PM

Hey guys, this is falling way back in the thread, so this is the only way I know of to bring it back to ALL your attention. All you previous bidders, thanks. Insert happy face here.

Keithc8 05-11-2009 12:59 AM

Mike I do not know if we need to take this to E-Bay for better results because no one seems to need these parts here. I could offer something different if it would help.
I will buy the parts back for 2000.00 so we have that much to donate to the Foundation at least. We have awarded two 1000.00 scholarships for college to two needy students plus helped one young lady get her track equipment that she needed to compete this year. Good to see these needy students get this help. The Club Cobra raffle has helped with these things. Thanks to Mike and all members, Keith

Maybe it might help to help to post a definitive deadline and have it be a much shorter timeframe?

dfox 05-11-2009 09:08 AM

I will offer $1,550.00. Thanks.
