Info on correct dash indicator lights?

It's that point in the project where I need to buy the dash indicator lights. I know I need green, red and blue, but what size as far as diameter? Chrome or black bezels? What is the best place to source correct looking ones? Any info on which are correct is appreciated. Thanks!
Doug

What I found

Doug,
I did a lot of research on this for my build

* The ones commonly available (Finishline) aren't even close to original

* You can get the red warning light from VictoriaBritish.com it is also used on the MGA

* The only place I've found the green and blue lights is in England and they are pretty pricey

* I found a decent alternate, it has a beveled chrome bezel and available in red, green and blue. CML *192A0250, 255 and 257 You can get them from Newark Electronics or Allied Electronics.

For some reason, the file upload feature isn't working so this is a link to the Newark page that has a picture:

Hope this helps

Paul

Paul, Have you bought these? The photo for the blue unit looks great, but the red and green ones show a black bezel, not a chrome one. If you purchased these already, what did they look like when they arrived? Were they all chrome?

PaulProe 05-09-2009 07:59 PM

They're chrome

Doug,
I did buy them. The pictures are incorrect, they are of the ones "blacked out" When you order the chrome version, it comes like the blue one, Chrome bezel.

If the bezel had slots in it for a spanner wrench, it would look like the original ones.

I am pleased with them, don't be deceived by the picture

Paul.

Hey Paul that's good info, if we could as you said get a slotted ring that would be the deal.
