Race Deck Stands Up !!!!!!

Hello All,

I wanted to update my experience with Race Deck and the organization behind the products. I bought Race deck for both of my garages 18 months ago based on the reputation and the quality of the product when I saw it installed some friends garages. I had some problems with one of the floors and Race deck supplied all new tiles and installed the new floor at no cost to me.

Here is a picture of the new Floor.....Installed today !!!!!

Many Thanks to Jorgen and the Race Deck organization for beiing a quality product supplier and standing behind the product.

tony,

how is it when it gets wet? i see the perimeter has some sort of extra traction, but the center? i notice you don't have any crushed items at the back of the garage. does it get slick? have you rolled a toolbox over it?
indentions ? do tools bounce when you drop them?

sorry for all the questions.

Fred

Hi Fred,

The entire surface is the 18" ultra tiles and it does not get slippery when wet. The only difference in the border and center is the color. The tool box at the back of the garage was rolled there across the tile.

In my other garage I have a four post lift sitting on the tiles with no visible impact on the tiles. It is a great product and the problems I had were related to the installation and that the person I bought it from went out of business and did not follow up on any warranty/repair issues. When the corporate organization learned of my issues they took care of me.

The two garages face each other acroos the front of my home. Here is a picture of my other garage with the black/white checkerboard floor, I have had no problems with this floor.

Fred,
You can't go wrong with RaceDeck. I've had mine for approx. 7 years and it is the best stuff around. As you can tell from Tony's expirience, they are a top notch company with great customer service. If I'm not mistaken, his problem was with the installer, not the product, and they still came through.

I have to do something with my floor as the epoxy I put down a few years ago is coming up in places. Does the Race Deck collect a lot of dirt? I regularly sweep my garage floor to remove the dust and dirt but how does that work with the Race Deck system?

I have been thinking about putting down heavy commercial quality vinyl tiles. Comments?

As far as cleaning goes, RaceDeck and CVT would be about the same. Sweep, vacuum or damp mop. The nice thing about having RaceDeck in a cold climate is that it's not as cold if you have to lay down on it.

Wayne,

I simply plug in the electric blower and when it needs it. I use the Costco janitors bucket/mop and ------ Swab the decks, I do use a degreaser soap when any oil/grease gets on the floor.
