I saw the auction and could not get an answer to my question of why the "427" car (one of 22 and one of three with a dry sump pump ) sold for 1 mil and the Tom Payne 289 did not go for 1.2 - .3 mil. I know the reserves are set by the owners but the rarity of the 427 should have priced it more than the 289.
