dark gray side pipes
I changed my muffler from 24' x 2 1/2" inside diameter mufflers to 28" 3" Classic mufflers. I had them coated dark gray. That was a misunderstand between me and the guy that coated them. I thought they were gray ( silver ). I'm getting use to dark color. They are quieter and I think they make more power. Hard to tell with all the stuff I changed on the motor.
What do ya'll think? Also did a little motor work. KC Brodix heads and KC custom Comp cam. Plus a 80 mm intake, TB and re-tune at the Dyno Shop. 402 rwhp & 416 rwtq. Not bad for a fuel injected small block. It's been a long winter with lots of problems but I think it paid off. I'm ready for London! Beeeeeeaaauuuutifulll:)
Dwight, you ought to be very proud of that car, it's one FINE looking ride! The grey sidepipes are attractive, as I'm partial to the yellow/grey combination. Looks a bit more serious than a silver-grey would have, and I think it lends an air of .... if you'll pardon the expression...understated BADASS to the car:D
You inspire me to consider a continual process of improvements and upgrades...hmmmm....that beautiful engine has got me thinking!! Regards! Dirk |
Dwight,
I think the dark gray looks good on the car. However, if you're not entirely happy with them and they don't "grow" on you, drive 'em for a season or two and then change the color when they need refinishing! |
thanks
Thanks for the kind words. I'll have to drive it as is but they are growing on me.
I do like the rear wheel horsepower. Dwight |
