Hood gasket?
I am looking for any suggestions on what others have used for a hood gasket/spacer between the hood and the body.
Originally my cobra had these small clear rubber 'bumps' that were glued on. I have lost a number of them and want to try something else. Appreciate any suggestions. Mike |

Here is a shot of my engine bay, and I really, really like my gasket going all the way around it. Really polished, a nice detail and its like a frame for a great picture. One piece that wraps all the way around. This is a "D" gasket with an adhesive back that is the width of the channel that wraps around the hood. I am spoiled - I live a few miles away from a warehouse who sells every single thing imaginable for car interiros, but you should be able to get something very similar from McMaster-Carr or a local interior guy. http://www.mcmaster.com/#d-seals/=2cxy18 |
This is on the Left Coast however they "Got it all". Check their online catalog.
