Front Wheel Stuck

Hi all,

(Newbie question) I'm trying to get my front wheels off for the first time to have a look. I got the spinner off on the driver's side but the wheel won't budge. I'm assuming they're the same as the back wheels. Do I just give the tire a few good kicks or is there a special trick? Thx

they can be tough, try to wedge a board on the backside be very very very carefull not to scratch anything. there are 5 pins which drive the wheel, any misalignment, lack of lubrication can make for a real party to get off. make sure you anti-seize in the proper areas when going back together. if you have the owners manual it tells you where to apply.

Get the tire off the ground with spinner off...
Take your big, non-maring hammer (I use the big plastic, lead filled type) and hit the back of the tire or rim while rotating the tire. Once or twice around should do the trick. When reinstalling, use anti-sieze on the pins and on the spinner threads. Remember to safety wire the spinner when you are finished...
