Original 289 Fiberglass Cobra?
In about 1965 I was at Vell's Parnelli Jones Ford in Southern California and they had a red 289 cobra that stated it had a special fiberglass body. Anyone know of this car? The car was in the showroom and it appeared new. I have never heard of an original fiberglass cobra but it definitely said this car was fiberglass. As I remember it was maroon and had chrome wire wheels.

There has been a car like that but with faded weathered red paint that has been at a couple of the Mini Nats held in California.

Sometimes those car salesmen are not too bright.
I remember seeing a RX-7 shown in a used car ad saying that it had a 4 cylinder engine. Rotary engines don't have cylinders or pistons. I guess the sales guy popped the hood and counted the wires on the distributor and made up the ad.
