Silver Classic Race in NV

I just saw a segment on Speed talking about the Silver Classic they hold twice a year in Lund, NV. Any of you Vegas guys run this race? That looks awesome! It looks like a great event. 90 miles of "go as fast as you want" desert road. Wow! That one might be worth trailering the car for if it would qualify. I didn't see any Cobras in the line up, but there was a hot rod.

Really Tony any car can do it, just look at what class you want to run in. If I lived anywhere near there I'd do it every year.

Became aware of the Challenge when a husband/wife Team ran a Javelin. Been a few years, but if I recall, one of the more interesting portion of the highway is in the high wall rock canyons, there are no escape areas.

Quite impressive rally. I watched a related GOOGLE video of the complete run and the entire 40 minutes seemed like 10. What a gas, and they don't ask for five grand.

We have a similar event here in Texas. It's called the Big Bend Open Road Race
http://www.bborr.com/
Three of us from the Houston Cobra Club are signed up to run the week of April 21-24th.

If anyone knows of a helmet to helmet communication system for between driver and navigator I'm looking to purchase one. The open cockpit makes it impossible to communicate verbally and going 90- 124 mph hour I don't want to be looking for hand signals.

Me too, wish I lived closer. The roads are so wide open. That the roads may be frustrating in a Cobra because of aerodynamics.
If I could, I would opt for a GT40 for the aerodynamics.

The three of us that are signed up are all driving different cars.
I have a Backdraft Roadster
Larry is driving his Ford GT
Ian is driving his FFR Coupe

Should be interesting, just one of those "Bucket List" items that needs to be done. I'm sure we'll post pics and video after the event.
