Roscoe....

....we know all about it and we ain't going' for a number of reasons.

We sent emails over a week ago and still have no response to our questions. Prices are rising nearly $100 for the same events as last year. I can run at Summit Point for half the price.

OK OK...Lemme just go over here and stand in the corner for awhile....fagggeeedddaabbaaadit!

Pretty harsh John. You rag people who don't go, then rag them for talking about PDA. If they want to spend the money, it's still track time, better than show time. And expecting instant response from PDA (ok, a little over a week now) in January might also be a little too much to expect. Not everybody can take the time to go to VIR. In fact, the extra tow expenses and extra time about equals the increase in fee's for local tracks. I, for one, like PDA and have no problem with the events I have done with them at LRP and one at Pocono. Maybe you could expand on the problems you see, other than the increase in fees. Off line , if you want.

I'd love to go to VIR with you, but it isn't in the cards for me this year. If I want to go to WI, I'll have to cut back on some of the other midweek stuff. Maybe I'll save enough in clutches to make up for the increase;) .

Yo Don....

...I'm not ragging anybody.

This time, last year I had already received an email from Lauren Fix (12/6/00 to be exact) stating dates, costs. everything. I can't even get a response, neither can a number of folks. I'm not waiting til the last minute.

That's all I'm saying. It's a big world, with lots of choices.

Glen in Oct.

I think the opportunity to run a new track is more of an enticement than the price increase at the Glen. July is out for me. I ain't going through the brain fad I experienced due to the heat last year. Cow Hampshire seems more attractive.

I haven't run with PDA yet, but they do seem to have quite a few track days available at various locations.

We got to get that boy from CT. to go to VIR wih us. He says he wants to save the big trip for WI bit that's a long way off and who knows how many clutches between May and Sept?
He must act now or he may never get a chance to beat up on the sb Crankymobile.

McFez we need your presence at VIR.

Yeah...what Cranky said!

...it's only fair McFez.

If Cranky and I are coming up to the NERC this year (don't get too excited) then its in yer best interest to come down to VIR or even Summit Point for that matter.

We'll still get to run the Glen with Rochester Shelby Club and maybe Oct. if they get their act together.

a427sc 01-22-2002 04:48 PM

Now, don't go gang'n up on me. Imagine, three small blocks guys try'n to get one FE guy. I appreciate your coming to NERC, how far is it for you? I figure the Glen is about the same for me, 5 1/2 - 6 hours on the road, as Cowhampshire is for you. But VIR has to be, what, 12-14 hours?, from here. And mid week to boot. Since the family has already "adjusted" our Californy trip from 10 days to one week to allow me the NERC (we leave about 5am Thursday), I really can't push it. Unless I really "be good", even WI is still under discussion. Ain't no vacation pay for us self employed, you know.

Don't get me wrong, if I get the Powerball # right, I'll be in the car on track everyday, all summer. And VIR sounds too good to be true. Guess I better decide on WI or VIR soon. Can't take much more of this...

Another For VIR?

Gary "the pretender" Cheney has announced that he may make the trip to VIR with us with his new FFR Daytona Coupe. We then plan to hit Summit Point on the way back for the COM event.

McFez, do you want to join us?

Hold on there Fez,

VIR is a Sat/Sun. deal you travel on Fri and Mon.
Just hook up that trailer to your tool truck and you will probably sell enough quality tools down south to pay for the whole trip.

Also, Cranky is also on his own payroll no work, no money.

See you at VIR.

At this point, the NERC is most likely the only event I'll make it to this year.....Perhaps VIR if I can find the time/funds, but that is still up in the air.........Then again, might not have anything to race with by spring time    ........Only time will tell.

VIR vs NERC

NERC
+= Good buddies from NE, Seafood
-= Makeshift road course, Noise limits. Pay for garages.

VIR
+= Great track. No noise limits.reception at hotel, lot's of Cobras, lot's of good southern food. no twin turbo rotory
-= Long haul from NJ even longer from NE

BTW no CSX vs everybody else BS at either event.

If you can only do one VIR is the better deal.

Club Cranky will do both

I'm playing phone tag with Joe from PDA trying to get all our questions answered.

At this point, we may incorporate the October PDA event into our schedule, but I need to talk to PDA first.
