SCCA Autocross questions
I know this topic has been discussed in the past, but I wanted to get some updated info. in anyone could help. I'd like to compete in the upcoming season in the Finger Lakes Region, so I am trying to get my "ducks in a row."
Questions: 1. What is the current classification for Cobra Replicas? The last time I heard, they were classified in the A-prepared group, by an addendum to the national rules. 2. Do you have to have an SCCA approved roll-bar? I have heard from some sources, that a roll bar is NOT required, however, I have also heard that all open cars in the Prepared category need to have an approved roll bar (I am currently running a traditional tri-pod style bar...not SCCA approved). 3. If you are running street tires, instead of competition tires, does the roll bar requirement (if any) still apply? Any information is appreciated! -Nimble |
I think this question needs to be asked on the Finger Lakes Region SCCA group:
