Race Direction
I don't understand....
Road courses seem to be run clockwise and NASCAR runs counter-clockwise?? Any thoughts as to why?? RTTAB:confused: |
Driver position in the car. Ovals are a US deal, and CCW puts the driver away from the wall. Road racings origins were with Anglophiles, and righthand drivers, thus CW (easier to see the inside of the turns.

Now just who owns the track, eh? Can you spell France?
In all truth, I don't know about the current track. But the original street course (that runs up the hill past the Seneca) is CW. McFEZ |
Their runnin the same direction

McHank, The Nascar guys are running the same direction as you and I at the Glen. Can you imagine running the back straight at full speed and then going down hill without lifting? What a ride. McCranky:3DSMILE: |
I thought that was the way you ran it, X. you seemed to be going that way every time I saw you! hahahahahah!!!
Like I ever found you out their, the 7 minutes I ran before crappin out. McFEZ |
Now that would be a thrill! Down through the esses into the turn. Yahoo!
