Driving Schools / Books
I'M SORTING OUT MY CALENDAR TO CHOOSE DATES TO ATTEND A DRIVING SCHOOL. I INTEND TO SIGN UP FOR THE FOUR DAY COURSE AT BOB BONDURANTS SCHOOL.
IN THE MEANTIME I'D LIKE TO DO SOME READING THAT WILL HELP ME MAXIMIZE THE TIME I SPEND AT THE SCHOOL. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT WILL BE MOST APPRECIATED. GAME PLAN RIGHT NOW IS TO BUILD A FFR SPEC. RACER AND BECOME QUALIFIED WITH NASA. I GUESS I JUST GOTTA GO BACK. THANKS, AND, Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY, BLACKJACK |
Jack,
Lauren Fix wrote a book about amateur driving. You may be able to get a copy off her website, http://www.laurenfix.com or email her directly (address on website). The book is $10. In addition, I recently saw a FFR Spec Racer (in VA!) for sale on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1827301191 If you like, we can discuss in depth with the Club Cranky Crew at Summit Point when we see you. |
Going Faster
BlackJack;
I continually read GOING FASTER; Mastering the Art of Race Driving by Carl Lopez. If they gave one out, it would be the textbook for the Skip Barber advanced School. I picked it the "new updated Edition" (2001) up via Amazon.com for $18. As I said I read it over and over.... |
